Thor Energy’s objective is to develop, commercialize, certify and sell/license key technologies for introducing the Thorium Cycle for nuclear power production
Thor Energy was established in 2006 by Scatec AS, and is located in Oslo.
Thor Energy evaluates the possibility of utilizing Norway’s thorium deposits for energy production within a national and European context. Using Thorium as fuel has the potential of improving the safety, the “cleanness” and the efficiency of current and future nuclear power plants. Scatec is the majority owner in the company and is currently leading the project.
ECM invested in the company in 2008.
