Geomodelling Technology Ltd
Geomodelling develops and markets advanced reservoir modeling and visualization software for generating integrated, cross-scale geological models with improved accuracy compared to today's conventional solutions.
Geomodeling was incorporated in Calgary, Alberta, Canada in 1998 by Dr. Renjun Wen to commercialize work he had done as part of post-doctorate project at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, and continued at the Statoil Research Centre in the late 1980’s and early 1990’s. Geomodelling provides proprietary software products allowing the users to rapidly visualize, integrate, interpret and model data from large-scale seismic data to fine scale well-core data. This allows O&G companies to better characterize the actual underlying, structure of complex O&G reservoirs that are difficult or impossible to accurately characterize with conventional modeling approaches.
Today the company has 150 customers around the world, an installed base of 250 software licenses and a revenue of 5,5 MUSD in 2008,
