Energreen AS
Energreen (via its subsidary Zeropex AS) offers a pressure reduction turbine generating cost effective, distributed, “clean” electricity from excess fluid pressure found in any industry segment with pressurized fluid pipelines (i.e O&G, water).
Energreen was founded in 2006 and is localized in Sandnes, Norway. The company has developped a fluid turbine, combining the pressure control from chokes and electricity generation from hydroturbines. It provides accurate upstream/downstream pressure control in an existing fluid flow while simultaneously producing electricity from the pressure drop. This allows for distributed production of clean energy with low CAPEX and no OPEX.
The technology could be applied within several areas of the O&G industry including produced - and cooling water flows and process and wellhead flow. Energreen's products have also applications in the drinking water industry.
