TEKTONISK REBRANDS AS SHARECAT SOLUTIONS

Norway-headquartered oil and gas supply chain IT company Tektonisk AS is to change its worldwide name to Sharecat Solutions, the company announced today. The global move follows the February 2009 name-change of Tektonisk’s UK company to Sharecat Solutions Limited. In Norway Tektonisk will trade as Sharecat Solutions AS. The name change is designed to align the company with its flagship oil and gas supply chain information management software ‘SHAREcat’, which is already used by over 30 oil and gas owners and EPCs in the North Sea.

The company re-naming supports our global branding and business development objectives for SHAREcat” says managing director Dag Pettersen (picture). “Getting behind the product in this way will help us to build on our North Sea success and expand into other regions, worldwide.”

SHAREcat solutions have been developed in close cooperation with industry users to improve procurement processes by up to 90%, cut inventory costs by 20% and speed time to first oil by increasing the quality and accuracy of the supply chain information that is handed over to plant operations and maintenance.

The company behind SHAREcat was established in 1993 and has offices in Bergen, London and Aberdeen. In 2007 StatoilHydro (formerly Hydro) invested US$3.5 million in Sharecat. Major shareholders are the founders Trond Even and Knut Dagsvik.
