Who we are
ECM invests in high growth technology companies in the Upstream Oil & Gas- and Clean Energy sectors.
ECM seeks to invest between US $2 - 8 million in one company and prefer to co-invest with other value adding venture capital firms.
We work closely with Statoil and share information about joint technology opportunities and review and evaluate pilot testing of new technologies at Statoil’s assets and operations. This provides our portfolio companies with early access to market and verification of their value proposition. Statoil, on the other hand, obtains early insight and possible first-user advantages of groundbreaking new technologies that might be the future technology champions.
Today we manage ECM Fund I, wich is 100% owned by Statoil. We have capital available for new investments from ECM Fund I. Our investment board consists of several key individuals from Statoil.
ECM is in the process of raising a new fund, ECM Fund II, with Statoil as the cornerstone investor.
